Who is this course for?

This course is intended for learners with solid upper-intermediate language skills who wish to refine their abilities, particularly in terms of fluency and precision of expression. The classes include expanding vocabulary in complex and specialist topics, as well as applying more advanced grammatical structures, including various subordinate clauses and stylistic subtleties. Participants will practice expressing opinions, presenting arguments, and engaging in advanced discussions on social, cultural, and professional topics. The course also focuses on understanding and producing extensive, varied texts—both spoken and written—at a higher level of difficulty. The materials and learning pace are designed to gradually strengthen autonomy, confidence, and naturalness in both everyday and formal communication.

What will you learn?

This course is dedicated to learners who have already mastered the basics of pronunciation, intonation, and complex grammatical structures, and who wish to continue developing their skills at the upper-intermediate level. During the classes, you will refine your fluency and naturalness of expression, expand your vocabulary to include specialist and abstract topics, and practice understanding and producing more elaborate spoken and written texts. You will learn to engage in demanding discussions, formulate your own opinions with supporting arguments, and communicate effectively in personal, professional, and social situations. The program and learning pace are carefully designed to strengthen your linguistic independence and confidence in communication.

Stages of learning

This Norwegian B1.3 course is intended for learners who already have a solid command of upper-intermediate basics and wish to further develop their fluency and precision of expression. The classes focus on strengthening the ability to engage in multi-threaded conversations, using more complex language constructions, and applying advanced vocabulary in various contexts – from everyday situations to formal and professional settings. Participants will learn effective communication strategies, refine their skills in expressing opinions, presenting arguments, and joining discussions with ease. The course will help you build confidence in using Norwegian both in unexpected situations and when discussing complex topics.

  • Engaging in in-depth conversations and discussions on social, professional, and cultural topics
  • Expanding vocabulary with expressions related to abstract and specialist fields
  • Working on advanced grammatical structures, including complex subordinate clauses and tense variations
  • Developing the ability to argue, present, and defend your own opinions in both spoken and written form
  • Analyzing and understanding more challenging texts and authentic materials: articles, podcasts, reports
  • Perfecting the ability to write longer, varied pieces – essays, reviews, opinion articles
  • Enhancing communication skills through exercises in comprehension, language subtleties, and practice of Norwegian idioms
