Who is this course for?

This course is intended for learners who already know basic phrases and have mastered basic grammar, and now wish to develop their language skills at the lower-intermediate level. During the classes, you will focus on expanding vocabulary related to everyday and common situations, consolidating and extending familiar grammatical structures, and improving fluency in speaking and writing. You will learn to cover a wider range of topics, engage in longer conversations, and understand and produce simpler texts—both for everyday use and with a slightly more formal character. The materials and learning pace are designed to gradually build your independence and confidence in communication.

What will you learn?

This course is intended for learners who have already mastered the basics of the Norwegian alphabet, pronunciation, and fundamental intonation principles, and who wish to further develop their language skills at the lower-intermediate level. During the classes, you will deepen your correct pronunciation and natural intonation, discover and consolidate new grammatical structures, and expand your vocabulary to cover both everyday and more demanding topics. The course will help you understand and produce longer statements more freely in both spoken and written forms, and communicate with greater fluency and confidence in different situations. The pace and materials are carefully chosen to gradually build your independence and effectiveness in using Norwegian.

Stages of learning

This Norwegian A2.2 course is for you if you already know the basics and want to further develop your communication skills to speak more fluently and confidently. You will learn new, more complex expressions and expand your vocabulary for a variety of everyday and formal situations. You will practice engaging in longer, more natural conversations, enabling you to manage a wide range of common situations in daily life and at work.

  • Improving pronunciation, intonation, and stress in more complex utterances
  • Expanding vocabulary covering everyday, formal, and new topics (e.g., work, health, travel, education)
  • Practicing grammar: past tense, future tense, subordinate clauses, and simple conditional structures
  • Conducting conversations and dialogues with greater detail – describing situations, expressing opinions, making comparisons
  • Understanding and responding to longer and more complex spoken and written statements
  • Writing simple functional texts: messages, short descriptions, emails, and basic formal letters
  • Practical communication exercises supporting confident and independent use of Norwegian in various situations
