Who is this course for?

This course is intended for learners who have already achieved fluency at the intermediate level and wish to further develop precision and naturalness of expression. During the classes, you will expand your vocabulary to include specialist and abstract topics, and refine your use of complex grammatical structures, including various subordinate clauses and stylistic nuances. We will focus on effectively expressing opinions, building persuasive arguments, and participating in advanced discussions on social, professional, and cultural topics. In addition, you will learn to understand and produce more elaborate and varied texts—both spoken and written—at an increased level of difficulty. The program and learning pace are designed to support your independence, boost your confidence, and help you develop a natural communication style for both everyday and formal situations.

What will you learn?

This course is aimed at learners who already have a solid foundation and have mastered advanced aspects of pronunciation, intonation, and grammar. During the classes, you will focus on developing speech fluency and naturalness of expression, enriching your vocabulary with specialist and abstract topics, and perfecting your ability to understand and produce extensive spoken and written texts. You will learn to engage in demanding discussions, formulate your own opinions with convincing arguments, and function effectively in the language in private, social, and professional contexts. The program and learning pace are tailored to continuously strengthen your autonomy and confidence when communicating at a high level.

Stages of learning

This Norwegian B1.4 course is designed for learners who have already established their competence at the intermediate level and wish to further develop fluency, precision, and naturalness of expression. The focus is on expanding vocabulary to include specialist and abstract topics, mastering grammatical constructions with complex subordinate clauses and stylistic nuances, and practicing extended, fluent conversations in a variety of contexts—from everyday situations to formal and professional settings. You will learn to effectively formulate your opinions and arguments, and to participate in demanding discussions. The program and course pace are carefully planned to support your independence, confidence, and ease of communication at increasingly advanced levels.

  • Developing fluency in conducting extended, complex conversations on social, professional, and cultural topics
  • Expanding vocabulary with specialist, abstract, and idiomatic expressions typical of advanced communication
  • Working with authentic materials – articles, reports, literary excerpts, and public debates
  • Practicing advanced grammatical structures, including multiple-clause sentences and stylistic nuances
  • Enhancing skills in argumentation, expressing opinions, persuasion, and defending a position during conversations and discussions
  • Writing extensive functional and literary texts (essays, reviews, summaries, opinion pieces)
  • Recognizing and using stylistic devices and communicative subtleties in both spoken and written expression
