Who is this course for?

This course is dedicated to learners who already know basic phrases, have mastered fundamental grammar, and wish to develop their language skills at an intermediate level. The classes focus on expanding vocabulary, consolidating and extending knowledge of grammatical structures, and improving fluency in both spoken and written communication. Participants will learn to discuss more complex topics, hold longer conversations, and understand and produce a variety of texts – both everyday and more formal. The materials and learning pace are designed to systematically strengthen independence and confidence in communication.

What will you learn?

This course is aimed at learners who have already mastered the basics of the alphabet, pronunciation, and intonation, and who wish to advance their language skills to a higher level. During the classes, you will refine your pronunciation and intonation, expand your vocabulary on both everyday and more advanced topics, and consolidate and acquire new grammatical structures. The course will enable you to understand and produce longer spoken and written statements more freely, as well as to communicate more fluently and confidently in various situations. The materials and learning pace are tailored to your needs, helping you systematically increase your independence and communication effectiveness in Norwegian.

Stages of learning

This Norwegian A2.1 course is for you if you already have a solid foundation and want to develop more fluent and confident communication skills. You will learn more advanced phrases, expand your vocabulary, and improve your ability to hold longer, more natural conversations. You will practice practical situations that will enable you to communicate in Norwegian with ease in a variety of everyday and formal contexts.

  • Improving pronunciation, intonation, and stress in more complex utterances
  • Expanding the range of everyday phrases and expressions, learning modern polite forms and idioms
  • Developing vocabulary in new areas such as work, health, travel, and education
  • Practical grammar exercises – past tense, future tense, basic conditional structures
  • Holding longer, more detailed dialogues and conversations on both everyday and formal topics
  • Developing understanding of more complex spoken and written texts (e.g., short articles, phone conversations)
  • Writing functional texts in various forms: emails, messages, short descriptions, and reports
